every job needs patience about promotion. rbi also conduct deptt. exam for promotion. but till 5 yr u will not eligible to being promote. go ahead yaar. its a very good job. i will wait it again.

how to prepare for interview

I gave this RBI exam as total time pass, some how got selected and got interview call… I have no knowledge about this rank of assistant.. what shall be the job like, what will be the promotional prospects for rising up in the hierarchy … It appears to me that it is same as clerk …. don’t know I may be wrong.. Can somebody, who has some info. about all this, help me with my wilderness.
Yes,Amit what u guessed is crct,Its nothing but equivalent to the post of clerk.But the basic pay of clerk in RBI will be more than other banks…(say around 19500/- initially)u will be having promotions etc,almost after 9 to 10 yrs u will become a probationary officer,if u wana achieve dat positon earlier u need to write the PO exam on condition if conducted by RBI organisation meanwhile u r in the job. Hope u understood…all the best..
Thanks Priya, Just one more doubt. does RBI conduct any such exam in normal course?? if yes than at what frequency… yearly or once in the blue? I heard of the Grade B exam.. but the seats are very limited.. that too for general category even worse. and Grade B is a tough game.. Is PO exam for RBI as told by you different than Grade B or this is just another nomenclature for RBI organisation?
Amit,dnt knw u are aware or not,I think Rbi had conducted PO exam almost 1 1/2yr back.(if i am not wrong,y becoz my father friends son was working as a PO in sydicate bank,gave an exam for PO in Rbi,he was selected).Suppose if who bang an assistant job nw in Rbi,u will be having promotionary exams conducted within the organisation.There are two ways for u.Either u can get promotuon by getting success in the internal exams or through external which will be conducted all over india.U need to jus get good marks,interview will be easy as u will be employee of Rbi..(i mean the preference)

*micro finance,census 2012,subsidies,FDI and FII,global warming,climate change,LPG,finance and planning commission,eligibility criteria for maha/nava/mini ratnas,bharat nirman/rajiv awas yojana,financial inclusion,terrorism and naxalism,India’s progress in milenium development goals,NAIP,what’s the status of India in UNSC?,India’s relation with other countries(projects,deals etc)Various committees of india and its duty(HEAD’s of those respective committies) and they will ask u about ur family,ur hobbies etc..U need to be very particular in answering them.(example-it was happened really, if u say music,they will ask which music composer,u will easily say so n so name,we will be booked thr..they will ask u suddenly to tell atleast 20 songs of dat music director.even u need to know the meaning of ur name..the interview questions may be silly,but dat tests our reaction,body language,psycho mentality etc..so i wish u all the best..be keen in everythng u prepare and answer..all the best da…

I am too out..Actually i thght i had done well,but success should be written in my fate naa? Nxt I have hopes in Sbi clerical results.I dont even wana talk about IBPS po exam,dat was really worst..Though my father wants me to go for higher studies,my mother/brother doesnt wana me to study nymre…if i am out even from Sbi, next will be my marriage..100% which i dnt like….God only should save me…

in the present technology they are doing like this if they want to publish the results only 2 weeks is enough because omr scanner is correcting the answer sheets and the merit list will be taken by using db software the only work for them is approval and upload for this work they are taking 2.5 months
if there is no technology just think off we should not expect the results for 10 years

i just called at rbi and one official said that it will come in next week and then i told him that, we are listening this answer sincle last one month and irequest him to give the exect date of result and the he said that, ibps people have not provided us the result so you talk to ibps people on 02229687111 and when i called at ibps, they people told that we dont have any info and it come on rbi site so you check rbi website…..
so now whom to tell about our situation…..
its really pathetic now….

Again same answer. Just spending money on phone case. They are hardly interested on our problem. Rather they do not know anything. we should not expect anything from them. Best way is to keep checking their sites. Thats the only genuine way. It hardly matter to us about the dates. The thing that matters to us is only when they are publishing the result on their site.
They said RBI resluts will be published in Mid June however it doesnt happen and EPFO results will be published in mid July and now its a big question mark whether these will be declared or not and SBI also waiting for results everything was conducted by ipbs
